Day out with Huifang: Jurong re-visited!

Today was almost like going back to my old 'hometown' of sorts, my home for 5 plus years. Went to Jurong today. First was Jurong East, met HF and we took a bus 97 and walked a looong way ( I think we had an informal tour of the exterior IBP)to Penang Place, tired and hungry, all ready to stretch that 21.80 we were going to pay. Heh. If you're wondering ,HF suggested going to PP after watching the food programme,so yup, prove that television does more than dull your brain, it actually gets you going places. We had a long 1.5 hour meal ( seriously time flew so fast!), where I tried stuff like curry chicken and asam laksa that I never did since its opening due to previous prejudices and warped notions I have about certain foods which I still show sometimes.. They had a new dessert too, a red bean kueh, a little reminscent of the hong dou gao I bought from the street stall in HK's Central.After which, we headed to Jurong Point after hearing all the hype about its unbelievable extentsion, which included another long but good walk to JE Mrt after all the curry and char kway teow.
The extension is quite scary, I must say, the minute you step out of the MRT station, whoosh you're greeted by a huge door where many new shops greet you! It's nicer to walk around, and I suspect if I took my time, there would be many things one would feel compelled to buy. But thank God I didn't, so I headed straight to bossini in bid for my hunt for THAT black buttoned jacket, which i saw at Lucky plaza and saw no more since then. Bingo! I spotted it in the rack and was well, I shan't say escatic,but very happy, like yay finally found you-the last piece! Saw an equally smart one which was alittle thicker but obviously it was newer and had less of a discount. But just to add, bossini's collection this season is quite impressive I must say. Gives more bang for the buck than Topshop or Dorothy.P. Fox too, their knitwear's so pretty! Oh just got a phonecall, Jie2 Mars got 2 free tix to Australia cause she overbought! So I got in the house, and I'm out again...

I can't believe its been way past a month since i blogged( yes, I think this is starting to be my tag line). Whoa it's Christmas already! As I type this Karen Carpenter is crooning my dream or wish, quite literally because if I want a White( snowy) Christmas in Singapore, I'll just have to dream, dream and keep on dreaming. I don't think I ever want to live to see the day that Singapore snows..that will mean we're in serious trouble because our whole Earth's has gone haywire!It starting to show some signs of it already, in Greece, Argentina...Okay I'm not here to talk about climate change.
Let's talk about more immediate, less earth-shaking matters- today's Xmas service. Huifang came! But the whole choir was on duty so I couldn't be with her throughout the worship. Worship was great,period. The skit cum multi-media presentation was cool too Aunty grace and Uncle Michael are so cute! But beyond that, they were really thought-provoking and reminded me that hey, life isn't all about doing what we always do, even if we do give our best, but putting God in all that we do too! So,yet another wonderful Xmas service were we in some way or another experienced God! Had the traditional Foo family gathering at Mama's, with all the Western, Xmas food (save for the way good curry from Ziyee and sago desert for persistent proponents of Chinese culture) Ziyee joined us this year too, cause she's off tomorow and Peilin's only coming back during CNY.( I think we've got everything except snow, a fireplace and winter wear to make a white Xmas.) But this year, because of the food in the car, the 3 of us have been unwittingly booted( pun unintended) to the MRT train to PL.
Apart from Xmas, there were more highlights from my very somewhat fruitful holidays. First, the bad. Our 3-9 dec family trip to BK with Uncle Ben never came to pass because they wont let us in. And of course, the very very wonderful OCIP trip with 26even more wonderful people to Luoyuan. I shan't say much about the trip, since it's been exactly a month since we left Xiamen. We spent 7 days in Luo Yuan er zhong, 4 days in Nanping Wu yi shan, Fuzhou, Quan Zhou, zhang zhou and Xiamen. Really hope we can go back to Er zhong again, kinda miss the students. Though I seriously doubt that we improved their English standards, but I'm glad I was a blessing to the students for 7 days and perhaps kindled a greater interest in the language :)
Now that everything's over, all the festivities died down(for 2008,CNY is 4 wks aways!) I have this dreadful feeling about 2009. Back to school, PE, lectures, CCA, A LEVELS!! But that's life. Most normal people work hard and then play hard at year's end, when the holiday season kicks in. Only a select few like the rich taitai get to live leisurely lives. In fact, soirees and shoe shoping can become quite a chore too. So I guess the thought of working and going through the motions of life that make it so sian isn't such a bad idea afterall. At least it keeps the thrill of participating in year-end sales or planning for your once a year holiday alive. Most of all, I know there's something more to this life or working and then playing, something that keeps me going.

Wow. I'm super duper convinced that I suck at coming up with titles. Hope the Ed board teachers don't cringe everytime they see the titles I give. Heh. Well, well, as usual, lazy me has refused to type www.blogspot.com and start blogging since promos ended.
My, my, the year has gone by in a f l a s h. Now you see it know you don't! Looking back, I think I always tell myself the same thing, that I've been through much, from feeling sooo uncertain, strange and lost at the starting of the year to slowly warming up and getting into school life and even enjoying it.All I can say and must say is that God has been faithful. Even though half the time I can profess that I can't feel He is there I know at the end of the day, He was and is and will be there. There are so many instances where I just know that He'd be with me so many that I can't type them all!
So let's start with the most recent promos. All Cs one A, of all things GP. That's really a pleasant surprise, my essay and all, its was really Him who helped me during the paper. Not good good results, but for all of it, still am grateful. Then there's PW, I can't have better group mates:)There's the CCA, I seriously couldn't envision myself in any cca from the start and now I don't have one but two!
I'm awfully glad He's seen my through everything, like CCAB and all, but I guess this holidays goanna be a very packed one for me. Let's just say 11days of my Nov will be spent in Fuzhou with 23 other super nice people with 2 teachers for ocip luoyuan, fuzhou,china, 10-14th im coming back everyday from 8-4 to microteach!
Then there's homework..which I sadly to say, didn't really make much progress as I wished I did this week.
But the holidays have been alright so far, had fun last sat was family dinner at Swissotel, (the Central is so Hong Kong!, Family nite on Sun. PW, pw, pw..and oh today was our last pw meeting a jeremy's and it was quite fun :) After pw jeremy, russ and I went to play Rock Band! It was quite funny I was the vocalist and had to sing weird rock songs which I nv knew existed until we came to Dirty Little Secret, man we rocked the house haha! I wish I could play all day but I guess that's life for you, even Paris Hilton doesn't play all day( crooning 'Stars are blind' and trying to live a simple life requires some brains too I suppose.)

It's been a month since I've blogged..always wanted to but I've been procrastinating well so many things have taken placed since then. Whoa life passes soo quickly like zooom before u know it, it's wk 8 of sch and guess what your promos are in wk 3 of term 4! I guess now I know how it feel like how have an awfully stressed and packed life..that's JC for you. Now I'm quite convinced my body clock is adjusted to sleeping after 1130.It's tiring, sometimes u feel like giving up, strange isn't it? This journey is a short but ardous, tough one. I feel like bursting and all, but I know I can't and I won't, because I've got my Father to lean on:)
So, it was the long-awaited 120th Founder's Day Dinner at Swisotel the Stamford(yes strong sense of deja vu, this was where I was about 5 yrs ago when I went for the diner as a p6). What can I say? It was a blast, seeing all your girlfriends faces 'painted' and everyone all dressed up, some guys showing off their commendable sense of style..heh For me, the dinner started of horribly, felt reaally lonely throughout the dinner as well, like sat almost alone eaating..some painful memories of yesteryear (or last 2 yrs) just came smacking into my face. Oh well, this is just one aspect of school I wish to forget..so glad its over. But had fun of course, lots of pictures definately! Speaking of which, I finally decided to break some little promise I made to myself to not 'conform' and sign on facebook like everyone,despite countless invites. I succumbed to the 'irrestable pressures'and got myself an account..
Other significant events? Huifang's birthday on 9th aug! Bought her strawberry flavoured food and a f1 car jigsaw:)The Ed board farewell at nl2, held on e 28th. We had fun and lots of choc-Russ brought a great choc cake that left me with a series of bad throats, oh not forgetting class debates which we won 1AA2, but didn't get into the semis.Next week is crazy, tests, chi mock exam, and next tues I'm attending a lecture at Ritz Carlton with 39 other ACsians.The lecturer- Aust PM Kevin Rudd! So yeah, I cant wait for it!

Terms are over, but just when you thought the worse was over..

My 2nd and very unimaginative attempt at a title..Well time always pasts so quickly so yay today is midweek! Finally terms concluded with History on mon!The way Mr Goh describes the way we score for our essays are kind of scary. But I'm not THAT scared I guess..I must say God really saw me through terms. They weren't a breeze I mean i struggled for chem and had that mental block for gp vocab, but it all went so quickly, and before I knew it, it was friday! He really helped me with June Hols revision because if I didn't do it well, I'd be panicking and rushing during the weekend which I nearly did on sunday for SEA.. Well its all over and like what Me Goh said, we have other obstacles and our next target it promos, so we just have to learn from our mistakes.
Went for a run at the stadium with Huifang after interact yesterday, we are each at other's pace! Yay, finally someone:) Hope we can do this every tues..Oh guess what?spent $5.50 on not 2 or 3 but one set of IH notes!It's like all e gp packages we've gotten so far! Oh yes, speaking of gp, once again I'm really grateful to the One above because we did really well for our field trip, and even another teacher praised it to sky high! So it was worth the 4-5 hours huifang and I spent watching people, snapping photos. Like she said, we can be PIs already haha! Anyway this weekend will be eventful for me, meeting my pals at vivo for dinner this fri, saturday is the fairfield funfair, sunday i wanna go out with helen-m + mama's bdae dinner monday is youth day! To celebrate, our class is doing a movie marathon from 11-8plus at Jean's! So yup quite a packed schedule huh? Just as well, enjoy myself before reality bites again and we all go back to the humdrum of school work.

I'm so hooked on Marie Digby!Argh it's the dreaded last week of holidays. Reality bites it's back to sch SOON and we will be welcome with a GP paper to kickstart our long awaited and dreaded! terms. Oh well but Thank God for a nice holiday compared to most people my Cca took up minimal time.Felt a bit like o levels cause I only went for MPS once, then Interact outing on fri the 13, went back yesterday fer Lit- Miss Jay is so nice:)Tomorow chem with Miss So and Serina and IH. Speaking of friday the outing to Labourdor only 5 of us- Julia, me Huifang, Enting and Jasmine turned up! But it was really fun, the kids are so nice so diff from ours..My 2 new ( nine years old)boyfriends ( a boy who is a friend..) Jack and Rodrick, Huifang's whiny insect-phobic girls, Julia's clean freak but nice-looking Dexter! It was really tiring, but had fun! Sat had the 1st recording for aunty ave's demo cd, quite a fun experience, there's another one this sat..a good way to round up the dreaded dreaded weekend.Had a nice family outing yesterday to Parkway with Mama. She's so cute! She bought a nike pencil case for herself partly because "I see all of you all buy things i also want to buy!" So now you know where gracie got that from..Well Iseatan's really her playground, she was trying necklaces, looking at bags let the whole shop was hers!:) Well yesterday was a good trip everyone in the family got something! Here's what (julia)and I got:

So I'm back from church camp, the highlight of my holiday is over :( Now it's back to earth, to the books, to the studying, to the realisation that your term exams are waiting for you at the end of the holidays. Not a very pleasant thought eh? Well, i, like everyone else, am not ready for the exams! It seems so scary..like some Golliath,but wait David killed Goliath right? Haha. Well, the three nights at KL were good ones,albeit not so nice sleep on the 1st 2 nights and some frustrating and annoying moments.it was enjoyable like any church camp. Spiritually very refreshing too, learnt many things and feel recharged now..and of course maximum consumer satisfaction with the wonderful shopping although I was very annoyed because I bought NOTHING on the 1st 2 days only got erm undergarments and watched Prince Caspian. Speaking of which, about 31 of us went to Pavillion- the newest and certainly most atas addition to the shopping belt in BB to watch the movie. Quite alright,though it can be cheesy sometimes, the battle scenes left my feeling dreary the kissing scene between caspian and susan was totally unnecessary.Wonder what will CS Lewis say if he saw how his story being distorted.. But I love their Brit accents! And oh I love Edmund's ruddy cheeks! Prince caspian isn't dashing..he looks like a blur prince in distress who can't save his damsel! But quite a nice movie..at a nice price too! RM9! Oh I think it's because the Sing Dollar is stronger now, almost everything we bought we really satisfyingly inexpensive when i converted! Even the tops viv and julia wanted to get was cheaper by 5 bucks than down here! So here's what made me a consumer satisfied to the max:
1. A pink NafNaf watch @ $78
2. Dark brown Diesel shorts
3. Pair of brown heels from Times Square
4. A blue leather bag from Vicci, Sungei wang during some last min shopping!
Of course, though im satisfied, I have a feeling I won't stop here. I just saw a Tangs ad in the papers. The sale is massive and it's calling my name.
Shopping of course, wasn't supposed to be the main highlight.There was e annual treasure hunt. Well I must say, i take my hat of the brains behind it.. I mean playing a treasure hunt in the same place for 3 times, yet keeping it so new and different!Though it was a good holiday and camp for me, I do hope that future ones would really allow us to bond and grow closer. Think holiday resorts with facilities for games and leisure, devoid of shopping centres, at least not as many. Think that way, we truly can bond as a church.

It's been ages since I came here..and well what a term it has been. Im 99.9% assimilted into the sch and class:) Looking back from how I started this term-clueless, lost and even lonely- i had no idea what cca to join and new class and all.. survived tests after tests, got to know all my classmatesbetter everyday and I truly am grateful fer them;) It's amazing how we got together so quickly! I guess fun o rama did a good job in that sense. Time and tide ALWAYS waits for no men so like what jem tan said just now the 1st week of hol is ending:( It's been okay so far last fri went with editorial for dinner and watched the opening of saf a great bonding session!Just came home from YMCA at Paya Layba(ok its only 20plus mins away from home) with some 6 ppl (all 2nd intakers!). WE're doing sch based peer tutoring programme for our class initiated cip.sounds nice. So actually looking at my planner, im quite free during e hols. MPS takes up 2 evenings, okay zoolympics 2 days interact once. going back for consultation twice. So compared to many, i have lots of time to study for the dreaded TERMS right after the holidays.yes after june holidays!! Next wk is burnt because of church camp in KL my favourite part! Shopping belt-Bukit B!! Quite exciting though KL seems quite scary when u read about foreign workers causing their crime rate to soar.. Oh speaking of shopping here's what i've gathered from GSS all at Raffles, MArina, Suntec, (18th may, 28thmay)

i've cut the hair short :) About ear- length. Think it looks fine but Julia says it makes me look fat! hmmm. Today was cutting hair day.4 of us went down to Terry's(no it isn't some swanky hair saloon downtown it's just dawson place..) But it's not bad Mummy and grace and regulars there. Grace as usual unwillingly walking to the saloon to have her blob of black grass(hair) trimmed. After that I went home first and she was like I look like a hideous freakk! And this is so not my style!! Eh..Never new that mess of hair actually even had form. Julia and mummy came back later and boy..Julia's hair is..let's just say she'll nv go back there again. Sigh can't believe today's friday!! Mostly caught up on my notes.. Did my tutorials the only highlight was Youth outing on wed at Sentosa. Hmmm! The weather was horrid and I still can't get over the fact that I couldn't put on my shades and cap!Dinner at Superdog..Despite the weather, I think they all had fun and frankly I can't wait to plan another one!Today there's class outing (ssec 4b) at sentosa and the weather was mostly sunny and fair! Hmph not fair! But I didn't join them because A. i'VE got stuff on B. I don't know why I don't like the idea of going to Sentosa twice a week..(okay i went on mon to recee and wed for outing). But at least I'm meeting them fer dinner at pasta mania. Yes only me. The rest of my "gang" aren't. Met Corrinne at Commonwealth today and she said she isn't coming. Sheryl's got outing with church friends..As for Hannah and Nanda..well God knows why..
Sometimes the way people crap up excuses really annoy me.And it's not once, it's perpetual. Hello..are you a Cinderella? At least Cinderella has to be home before 12.Seriously folk(s) quit being so passive. It isn't going to get you ANYWHERE.

Today is the last day i'll ever put on the Faifield School Uniform. :( From tomorow onwards, the sea of yellow that one supposedly sees in every corner of the school will be gone. We, like everyone else will join the rest in wearing blue and white. SO i've did more than just survive two days of lectures so far.Didn't really stick with OG all of us were scattered though I had recess with JOcelyn and Chai Bei and some of her friend.. I like all my subject teachers so far. I hope the Chem teacher today is my tutor! Heard from Eunice that he is one of the better Chem teachers there! So yay..Jean and Hissyam are in h1 chem too! Hissyam's so funny-I don't know when to take him seriously sometimes..He was like want to go back (tranfer) to JJ with me? I know he's not very used to life here in AC like us the 2nd intakers but I was quite sure he wasn't serious about that one. Well,we will get used and have fun here at AC! Just give yourself some time.. Well had quite a bit of free time today so I thought I'll queue for notes but guess what? I queued for 3 times today and only got it at the 3rd attempt! The photocopy shop does roaring buisness! even at jj i don't remember the shop being so packed during the 1st weeks..I queued twice for 40mins and it wasn't enough. I didn't have lessons after lit so I queued and queued for 1.5hours!!! I never stood in a queue for 40minutes before let alone 1.5 hrs! Bao and Eunice were really nice they waited fer me until Bao was so hungry so they left and they made Samuel queue with me ha. But he left anyway at 1.30. So after that went to Queensway with Julia to look for a bag to claim the amount left for our o level reward from Papa. But didn't buy one :( The nike one we saw at vivo only had grey and was more ex and they had red but it was a smaller one. The best was a Puma one it was on discount 55.30 bucks! awfully worth every cent! But apparently Miss Very Picky and vain Julia has something against pink and thinks it is really hard to match.."Imagine wearing green and carrying a pink bag..!" Yeah the fashion police will arrest you. But anyway the selection of bags in Queensway are surprisingly lousy though the prices are competitive. I really like the Puma one so I'm checking online fer more colours and hopefully get it elsewhere.. Oh BARNEY's back in ACJC!!:)

well well.. so I'm officially part of ACJC now.. Orientation lasted two days and the 1st day wasn't very nice...for 2nd intakers because we were slotted into OGs that were together since the 1st intake..so felt a bit out of place. The AC culture is so different from JJ(duh) okay Fairfield at least..and everything there is so intimidating and scary..like mass pe and silver for napha? Hopefully it's just the 2nd intaker syndrome where we really need to get used to this..I know it is..But it's really comforting to see soo many yellow uniform people gather together every morn! Yes we are having a fairfield invasion of ACJC! But soon we will all wear the blue and white u..like next wed :( To add on to my list.. I have no idea what to join..but most probably Arts/Entree council..I want to join Editorial too but I'm not sure how it works..Yesterday was the last dy of orientation had OG dinner at Ghim Moh and I'm glad I've gotten to know my OG mates better like Tiff and Putu :) Campfire was brought up to the hall cause it rained again and it was a blast! We plaed games like Queen of Sheeba and Ian and Samuel were up on stage listing things they should never say on a first date and stuff like that...Did the mass dance many times till my partner left me halfway to join the train..felt really lost till God sent an 'angel' from the sky- eunice soh! :) She appeared right it front of me and we joined the trained till we were tired and joined Yiwei and the rest of the Fairsians at the back who were too tired of dancing.Ha I'm seriously dreading Monday and I told Beixin i miss 08A03 loads and I'm going to meet them during the march hols!! But I know God is faithful. How I settle into AC it's truly His problem,because He gave me the results to get into that sch.And oh..I feel really weird singing the Collage anthem so I decided to not sing it!

okay this is my 3rd consecutive Monday skipping school. Actually not really..last week was JAE so we had 'leave'.So i woke up at 8 and then went for a jog with mummy, showered then headed to victoria street wholesale centre to get peanuts for cny..got pistachios prawnrolls and cashews. Ireally like the CBD area..i never get sick of it. One day i should just pretend to be a tourist and walk round there snapping pictures and doing tourist stuff. I hate to admit it, but I've only started going to this area when i moved, like im some country bumpkin that has moved into the city! Anyway, one thing I like about former colonies(like Hong kong and Singapore) is the old colonial architecture they leave behind..like last week i went to chinatown with papa get my phone (which went out of stock :/) we bused there so we walked pass the Subordinate courts and my i thought it had some old world charm to it amist all the buildings and cars swishing by, and today we drove past the central fire station which was reminiscent of the Central Police Station in Hong kong. So i hope they never tear such wondeerful buildings down! Yay! just called vivo's 3 mobile and their non contract phone offers are still on! So i'm heading down to get it later, before going to aunty jenny's with Julia when she come back to pluck eyebrows for cny (before sunset!) :)Can't wait for cny but i just so can wait for it to be over :( ah..Titus you got me hooked on secret..now i can't wait fer wednesday to have a second helping..

okay its been quite a while since i've blogged.at POpo's house now..and i must say their keyboard sucks.Yup how time flies it's midweek!!And its my third week staying at popo's and im quite amazed and how i'm doing more than surviving! it's also ny third week in jj. This week is the week when we all get into our classes and i'm in 08a03 one of the 3 arts classes, taking h2 lit econs hist and h1 bio which is boring and a total waste of time.Amazed at how i managed to make friends so quickly and feel uit at home with some of my classmates already.hmm the downside of PAE..you make all your friends and even if yu stay they leave after jae and vice versa and you have to make friends all over again.Well im almost certain i won;t stay in JJ and scarily that's what almost everyone i turn to tell me. hmm they wanna go to the poly SP or NP or maybe ACJC occasionally AJC or NJC. i do wonder how on earth will these above mentioned schools fit in all of us? So thats tough competition at its best for yu.Well found a few classmates with similar interests as me so lets just oray that we can be classmates somehow! argh this keyboard is bent! So far i like the subjects i take and most of the teachers that take me. I think econs is interesting,GP is a challenge i wouldn't mind undertaking but please,spare me paper 2 my head hurts when i think of it and can't help yawning.i thought o levels was enough.Now that i stay in popo's everywhere seems so inaccessible..guess the convinience of my ex and current home has spoilt me and made me lazy.Went for the SP open house wth shufen last sat and the studet and lecturer was amused at the questions i prepared..then went fer choir headed to vivo to find julia a bag..which wasn't succcessful and i ended up spending a good 39 bucks of my pay on fushia(is that how yu spell it?) skinnys from topshop which was actually 93! so it's worth waiting for sales. regular items in brit high street chains like these are almost not worth to pay for. Warehouse was also having a super big sale a ridiculous 129 bucks skirt went for 33!Okay, enough about shopping but wait cephas' birthday is coming and cny is round the corner so there's more to be done...(in fact,it's never enough.)

Merry xmas!okay time passes so quickly..before we know it it's the festive season!well had xmas service on sunday skit was quite good..followed by caroling at sister sue's..i never touch the curry but i must say the kueh kohsi is always soo good..work as usual on monday worked OT till eight(in the spirit of the season haha)on xmas eve mind you..and i was sitting next to the radio and the 97.2 deejays at every shift kept reminding me that the whole world was on half day except us..haha the train back was more crowded than usual and i bet 3/4 of them didn't come back from work like we did!But im very happy with the amount of money that i'm going to earn! After we came back we waited till the clock struck 12 and we opened presents we accumulated on sunday..well thank you all for thinking of me and giving me a present! That's not all..today we are going to mama's for our annual xmas dinner where mummy is going to be the self-volunteered anochorwoman of the dinner..she's virtually cooking everything on the menu as she decided she wants a more angmoh dinner this year..well almost..did i mention the ribs were marinated with (chinese) plum sauce and hua diao jiu? But heck its xmas in sunny singapore! At least we've got a cheese platter, aunty gen's ham and aunty caroline's mum's salad invention and not to mention swedish meatball ,tortilla chips with raunch dips! and of course the gifts! hmmm..wonder what will i get this year? No suspense on mama's side though..i guess as all her grandkids grow up she decided she'll stop cracking her heads and gave us money to buy our own present to wrap it up ourselves...and i made off with two shirts (supposed to be dresses)from bugis. Went out with Sheryl and Hannah for dinner on sat..Ate at thai express..nicest thai restaurant in sing so far..but would someone spare me the msg? I drank a whole bottle and cups of water and still felt thirsty! Sweet hannah made us choose a xmas present and sheryl and i made away with necklaces from diva..yes got the sale one that i eyed on thurs..okay that's all fer now..im wrist is telling me to stop.

okay it's been 2 days since i touched down from hong kong..which means my holiday is OVER! but it has to end somewhere right? well well..what can i say? holiday was good! who says one has to go on a tour group? we went ourselves and went to so many places that i bet the tour group would most likely never go. 1st 2 days at macau was quite fruitful stayed at metropark..hotel wasn't fantastic what do you expect..it was like 80 plus SGD per night i think..and we touched down early flight was at 6 and the check in time to the hotel was at three!!so we found our way around asked the concierge how to get to the ruins of st paul..took a bus and walked there..nice area quaint square with lots of shops like sasa and esprit and of course the ruins was packed with tourists snapping shots ate at this nice road side stall some siew mai harkow and the best carrot cake ever! it smelt of radish for once! grabbed a bottle of nail polish from sasa- revlon for 15 hk dollars!headed back to the hotel FINALLY we could check in but only our room..and i must say that hotel isnt very effecient it took some calling to finally have our parent's room. At night met aunty sharon who is working in macau for dinner at some macaunese restaurant and then she brought us to the venetian, which was really like venice! took a gondola ride with a very entertaining female gondalier! Next day we crossed the border and headed to zhuhai and spent like from 7 hours alone in the shopping complex gongbei before heading back to macau! lunch was really good at a chinese restaurant for only 75RMB which was like 15 SGD! And of course we bought alot of stuff with mummy as the chief bargainer(many shop keepers called her li hai!)Day three, ferried to kowloon and cabbed to our hotel which really blew us away! papa didn't know it was newly refurbished when he booked it and i must say that we loved the hotel! our first day at hk was a waste of time. took the iconic star ferry to hk island but ended up a little lost so we took the tingting(tram) to central with the intention of going to midlevels but ended up in front of the peak tram station..so we decided to go there..took the tram up the peak and that was where papa felt unwell so we visited tussads but didn't really enjoy the trip..the view was breathtaking though..but the queue for the peak tram back was sooo long and the wind was chilly..cabbed back to tsim sha shui mummy settled papa and then four of us went exploring our area..found the esprit outlet..grabbed a few shirts and tried their street food!well ihave so much more to say because it was one week but i shan't say more because its very ime consuming..but all i can say is that i love hk and will be back soon! and oh.. am i proud to say i took almost(except the KCR) every mode of transport avaliable in hk..the star ferry, the taxis, the mtr, the citybus and the minibus..

okay i'm starting to feel a bit bored when 1) my os hasn't ended ( one more bio mcq) so im doing up my bio mcq in my tys. 2) the hols barely starting. so here am i blogging 2 days in a row. went to bugis street yesterday yeah yeah my "debut appearance" maiden voyage(or trip) to bugis street..well can't blame me there's a first time to everything right? except my first time came later..haha..went there with jiahuia and julia. and that place was like bangkok chatuchat-hot, stuffy (save for the last 2 levels, we aren't called air-con country fer nothing right?) and of course really big bargains!! could have made off with more but was restraining myself because jiahui travels at quite a fast pace haha no lah basically because everything was a bit repetitive like those lil miss shirts which everyone was wearing..and besides i'm heading to hong kong/macau..heading to zhuhai at the border and boy i heard from aunty Sharon that shopping there is great!! well went to anchor point today(it's transformed totally) had quite a nice lunch except my enjoyment was impeded by my stupid pulling rubber bands (braces one) stopped by at borders and boy suddenly a flood of memories came back-i was deprived from books ( as in fiction not text) for very long and so im going do something about it..to begin with i made a list and boy it looks bursting!hope it'll work out!! hah ziyee offered to treat me cut hair at jean yip and maybe dye though she suggested i get those dyeing kits and get mum to do..well well..argh. if only i opened my mouth and said it. if only i could say i want to do it! how come nobody took note of it nobody asked me concretely i guess i conceal my emotions too much- i thought it was a good thing- and now..this. miscommunication at it's best.

wow its been months since i wrote! what can i say? yesh! finally freedom and liberty beckons! its 90% over all my o level papers!! only one more biology mcq next tues!! sigh i feel so drained was at school from 8 to 6 yesterday! science mcq in the morn lit one and two at two and four thirty. realised that i had my last meal at 9plus so when i came back i was super hungryt ate instant noodles(i heard wrongly it wasn't chicken terriyaki so i declined dinner with chums for nothing but anyway we were still on the "love japan" mindset since nissin is japanese..haha) finally started on the cecilia ahern book that sheryl lent me months back told her that i'll return to her next year when we collect results but i think hopefully i can finish it soon..it's quite a sweet book actually though not a favourite. and yes i had a date with the big black(silver actually)box, the tv!! watched from 8 to 11 plus the new 8 pm show is good. i like that kind about allt he corruption debauchery revenge and guess which channel? the one and only 55. and yay!! felt so excited because yesterday jules and i set down and started taking out all the maps and visitors kits to hongkong-we were planning our itinary because we are going there ourselves! i can't wait! I want to see the former central police station and all the other attractions..and of course, SHOPPING! ladies market..and zhuhai, across the border of macau will be flying there for tonights first i guess will meet aunty sharon there! Man i can't wait! will be going to bugis street with cousin jia hui never been there before. and i like shopping with her! and did i mention julia cut her hair?on mon after her paper its nice, at kimage man makes me feel like i need to do something to..i've always been eyeing copper highlights..

Okay..after struggling with days of laziness, I decided to brush them all aside and blog about my trip to chiang mai..well there won't be photos because a.i didn't bring my cam and b.robin hasn't complied the photos for us..Well if I could some up the entire trip into one word..the word has to be LOVELY. Seriously, this trip taught me that Father knows best. Looking back, I initially signed up fer Kanchanarburi with Hannah since I didn't see the point in going to Chiang mai again..but I found out she went to local..and I wasn't really familiar with the people going to kanchanaburi so i switched to chiang mai since i heard quite a few pple i know were going..And well I had FUN,FUN,FUN..the first day we took a transit flight from Bangkok our flight got delayed by 1 hour so we walked around for another hour..thank God the Bangkok airport was big enough to entertain us for another hour! Finally reached the orphanage at four plus..got a pleasant surprise when i reached there..we all stayed in a bunglow with about 5 to 6 rooms me, deborah, christie, shusze, sha, emay, jaq and yishan took the biggest room and the only room with aircon! We had a bathtub that had a err..dead bat?! At night was night service with the orphanage and interacted with the kids.Second and third day was community service a few of us did handicraft and mulberry paper..where farah and i saw a cute guy called zai but we found out he was taken:( Met a girl nicknamed fah which means blue or sky in thai..apparently, she likes blue..and met some other girls cherry pink(she always wears pink!) jasmine and ya! Went for river rafting and elephant riding on the fourth day..rafting was fun but very wet! Bought photos!Went to Central Plaza and bought two shirts for 20ob had an interesting dinner at some cultural centre before heading for a night market to shop, shop and shop! Saturday did some communiy work interacted with the kids and went to mall for dinner where 11 of us ate at the pizza company..It was $40 for 11 people! Got he "anna sui" clutch deborah and I were eyeing the day before and went to another not so interesting night market were i literally grabbed(due to time constraints) 5 cute woven hairbands for 100 b. Sunday we left the place at seven the kids lined up and gave us a flower each! Daryl had many girlfriends-He had ten flowers! Checked in and boarded a tigerairways and touched down at 1250 where mummy and gracie was waiting.I've learnt/gained many things from the trip..one of them being the friends i've made! Made new friends like farah, sha, emay,jaq,gordon,malcom, jiarong and his buddies and bonded with people whom i already knew!

hey..just came back about half an hour ago from vivo had lunch and shopping with jiamin:)she's great company!Definately be going out with her again.I just realised that the last time we went out..it was p6 the tail end of pri sch! Now it's sec 4 tail end of sec4! Ate at Carl's Jr. Quite good except I accidentally upsized my fries to cheesy fries(misheard as chilli) AND my meal was actually 7.40 but it became 9.50!! So I got a shock when the waitress came round with my order Had to bring the fries back much to the delight of junk food loving grace. Certainly not a meal I will buy everyday but it's more paltable than macs or bk.For the record we visited esprit adidas pull and bear river island topshop forever 21 but didn't get anything :( Didb=n't expect to anyway didn't feel financially err stable without mum. I've always had high regard for her spending power.Mine simply pales in comparision to hers..Besides even if she was there she wouldn't buy anything some of the things were ridiculously expensive, really..are teens that impressionable to spend 11 bucks on a pair of plastic earrings..i hope not!!or 60 bucks for a ripped tee that looks like it is fraying? Apparently there are..But then again it all boils down to materialism and consumers like teens being more brand conscious and are willing to pay for that label on the piece of clothing i guess..Me included..I won't say I'm such a simplistic person who would get my clothes from anywhere..though im not brand crazy i won't mind brands..really,and sometimes even want them..Like i was contemplating buying a red patent hairband that had a small bow on it from forever 21 that cost seven bucks but then i thought it was crazy so i placed it back(even though i still don't mind if someone gets it fer me)Hmmm..i heard about someone wanting to get me a belated birthday present but doesn't know what i want. Maybe now i know what I want..

well well time and tide certainly waits for no man..in a blink of an eye the mid years are over!!(but seriously at this rate I'm going..I think i'll find myself sitting for the 'o's next week!)midyears were okay. english was okay..except i dont like paper 2! phys was quite okay thanks to yunqi! chem was quite easy since only ten chapters were tested..chinese paper 2 was tough..but mdm xu said the girls all passed..but 'with flying colours ' is another thing altogether..lit was nice i did the passage based and essay before! ss(H) also. mr E said i did quite well fer ss! but i dont like practicals esp phys.but anyway i shouldn't care too much midyears would be nothing compared to prelims and the os..so i'm going to chill these few days..once i hit monday its back to the monotonous regime of hitting the books! went to kfc clementi with nanda and hannah were laughing at how we all 'noted'(yes we like the lit text alot) as in heard each other wrongly for a couple of times during the conversation..oh well not sure if im going out tomorow supposed to go to vivo..nanda fervently refused and hannah well..is doubtful about getting mum's permission..well well.here we go again.
that stinking post exam mood is here again.

okay i know this sounds like im living one week behindtime but anyway our pioneer drill com contingent is a GOLD award winning one!! with dear junqi as best commander;) As for the seniors..well i guess fate just fell too short;( but from the depths of my heart, i feel that you guys are really are wonderful contingent..you guys are better then me in drill(everyone nodding their heads in agreement?) anyway cliched as it sounds.failure is the mother of all success. God knows al your hardwork and will reward you in the right season..im sure of that. Yesterday was another case of fate falling short. FMSS is officially knocked out the the Julia Gabriel's and Xinmin did the honours..coupled with certain eye-rolling adjudicators it seems..anyway from the start of the tournament told myself Im leaving into the hands of God. I mean its not like i give a half-hearted attempt at every tournament of course.The journey in this tournament might have been short, but at least I got to know my debatemates better.Thank yu joseph, fernando, robin and shengwei it was nice working with yu guys. I may not have been the best team mate so thanks for all your patience! Well, so I guess this sums up my entire debating "career" (if there was such a thing) as a whole. Four years..I must say I've learnt many things that my non-debate peers have..like constantly reflecting what people say and be more logical..and of course theres the general knowlegde part. I doubt I'll be ever debating again in tertiary education..i don't think I'll go to the JC but what I've learnt these four years will certainly stick to me.

okay so its been months since i've blogged..guess i was lazy to create a google account..anyway as usual time waits fer no man and here i am in the tail end of my third month as a sec four..and i'm starting to feel the heat already..very slowly..well well last friday was gb's 70th anniversary was hobbling around cause of my injured knee and one of the vips mistook me fer baoxian and went like your dad and when i told her she got the wrong girl..she was so amused and went: "how come you girls are so injury prone?"or something like that anyway i'm glad its all over my parents actually called it my grandfather's 70th birthday because they saw us planning so much..anyway tomorows the first-leg of the drill com-format drill! jitters! but i know God will be with us as we do our thing tomorow. okay so here's how my march hols went..on monday had drill and JGs on homeground against IJ ST..we won tues was drill limbo ,nanda and hannah came fer lit had aunty hannah's bdae dinner at pp..wed had tution..thrusday had a sumptous meal at dragon gate at habour front treated by jie2 mars, charmaine, joyce and kor2 leonard with the rest of the kids camp pple..aand had dinner at uncle ben's..it was like alcohol and spirits day! had spainish red wine which was the best red wine i've tasted and pear schnubs(its that how yu spell it?)turned lobster red.had drill and debate training today..motion is THW ban cosmetic surgery against PLMGS next friday..pray we will win!...thats about all really..couldn't possible summarize the whole year's events so far..and i won't its too time consuming..and i don't know why i can't seem to get hugh grant's and drey berrymore's voice out of my head..

hey..well came back from jie2 joanna's wedding service at about 3 plus..it was held at wesley..it was simple, short and sweet! came back from the children's camp yesterday afternoon i was sooo tired that i crashed for like 3 hours! i didn't remember feeling so tired after i came back from obs man..i guess it was the bbq, skit as well as the treasure hunt all thhe kids were like stoning..and we all wanted to shower..actually i went there as a helper..or co-leader..my group was called energizers we had theodora angeline paul brandon yaohui and yaoman..sandra's cousins..my group leader was medad.and the rest of the groups all actually had names that had to do with electricity? like powerhouses, ignitors and trailblazers the rest of the helpers were jules viv amos eldad xueqi nat abraham reuben and brandon..it was really fun..interacting with all the kids and see all their different personalities and even idiosyncrasies? (if waking up at 330 to bathe is considered one..) anyway im glad i got to know most of the kids better..since the theme of the camp was Godspeaks, we had sessions and many kids actually heard from God and it was really amazing..the bbq night we all had to wear the camp tee which was really nice..and the bbq was yummy!!..courtesy of all the parents and then our groups had a skit each about the importance of listening well..oh my..we have so much hidden talent, in terms of acting..at least..theodora and aristotle were hilarious as father and daughter.."go to your room and cry!" the audience were laughing like crazy!! on the last day we had macs breakfast at bukit merah my..everyone was starring at us because we were such abig group and we were carrying our big bags..! So on monday is church camp at federal hotel in kl..i can't wait as well! and im also looking forward to the JAMS new years eve party..sound really really intriguing!

Just came back from Orchard with mum and julia..had dental in the morning..mummy was quite amused with dr sim..he's so damn blur..the old lady who came in the morning is so funny..she came like and the wrong day cause doctor sim thought she was a girl...anyway..ate at the market place at tangs..bought a skirt from dano and mummy bought 2 plain tees from mark and spencer..yesterday went to mama's house as usual uncle chaoleng and some others came from canada to visit..made frens with 2 really nice girls..but i fergot their names..haha very hard to spell..anyway yesterdays epl matches were really exciting..poor poor arsenal..and yay! can't believe spurs won!

oh well recently took an interest in the life of french queen marie antoinette haha..heard of her before..got a little interested when i heard some time ago that sofia coppla was making a movie about her and got even interested when i came across a book farewell my queen by chantal thomas and i suddenly remembered her existence..so i wikipeded her name and as usual got a whole lot of information and wow..what a illustrous life! so im going watch the movie when it releases..then again its pg 13 in usa so i think it'll be nc16 ..hopefully it'll be pg..saw the trailer.quite interesting..anyway had drill yesterday quite okay lah.oh guess wad had meth cup and i won my first medal there!! haha got 4th for the best five individual speakers..sigh extended curriculum is pretty much..i dunno a waste of time?since we have like 1.5 hours break everyday? but im so glad its ending tomorow.

Hi. My name is Stephanie and I feel horribly, terribly, awfully...awful.
Well yesterday was really amusing for me..enjoying the breeze in my room as indulging in an Agatha Christie and listening to Michelle Branch on the hi-fi when Grace looked out of the window and gasp..my uniform that I hanged at the window dropped on the parapet!! So mummy tried to fish it up with the gala..and decided to push it down so i'll go and collect it on the 1st floor but to my very horror the wind was soo strong (fer once i felt i hated wind) and landed on the parapet of our fourth floor neighbour.and they weren't in because mummy tried to ring the bell..and soon it was raining really heavily and mummy peeked out of the window she shouted" hey go and collect your uniform it dropped already" so i rain down with a big umbrella my oh my..the wind and the rain was so so strong that it nearly blew my big brollie away couldnt find it..but my came down and found it soaked near the playground! the rain was so tormenting that i felt i was in some chinese melodrama(then again i didn't think the crew could pour down soo much water continuosly) looking for my....lost love aka my school uniform!

hi..yes!! freedom is mine!!! from today the television and computer will be OFFICIALLY under my mandate since gracie is having exams soon hahaa..! had bio today so pissed screwed up question 2 of the essay..didn't know that they'll test the heart and digestive system...so i just wrote crapp..luckily i could do the heart disease one..the exams were overalll okay.. easier than expected especially last week..hope this will the reflected in my results..borrowed some really mean reads from the school library.during the break..three act tragedy by queen of crime agatha christie..its been a while since i followed Poirot in his investigations..angels anf demons by Brown! i loved da vinci code..one of the best reaads i've came across..and i've also got daughter of venice by doanna jo naopoli..couldnt get for the love of venice from school so i just borrowed this..quite interesting..Venice during the Renaissance throught the eyes of a young Noble Venetian..
Renaissance..anyway went to dover with nanda and hannah fer brunch..wanted to eat a tiong barhu but my suggestion was met with violent objections from nanda..(indeed..home is always where the heart is:))..haha im goanna take a shower and then i'll be on time to catch that funny show on cable..to catch the uncatchables..it is a repeat but i didnt watch it the first time..and at night it'll be another one starring the ever charming adam cheng set in the Qing dynasty...the remote control became my possesion too!!!..

at last after 39 hours of study skills..everything is over! i was very relucatant to go..but the stuff they taught like speed reading and all was quite useful..one thing I didn't like was the what I'd call "emo trip" they made us go through the part where the instructor made us imagine..err..the funeral of our parents where everyone started crying except yours truly...yesterday the closing ceromony was one where another bucket of tears started coming out everyone went to hug their parents and all..well..i think the study skills part was really useful but this crying stuff was a little..irrelevant..to put it very bluntly..yes! going to watch devil wears prada tomorow with papa..cause the whole family watched it on mon when i had study skills..so papa didnt watch it so that he could watch it with me :) anyway this study skills programe really got me..or rather most of us thinking about our tertiary education..something my family and I were always so concerned about. I'm in the process of researching about all my possible post sec education pathways and ultimately, i'll be leaving the decision to the Greater One up there.oh yah..had girls day out with church and went to jie2 fiona's house to play this really cool board game called cranium..later they forced all of us..imagine: jie2 joyce and jemi! to put nail polish! caus eof school and the revolting smell of polish..i did my toes.. i fell in love with that shade..pearly bronze! from the face shop hopefully i can grab a bottle at tiong barhu- they have a face shop there! and how on earth did Germany score 13 goals against San Marino?

hi oh well..i'm quite happy if yu ask me..i've passed 2 consecutive math tests!!! i was kind of shocked fer the trigo one..because everyone said it was hard and the shocker was that your's truly's very smart twin failed and your's truly didn't!! i'm glad i've passed the variations one too..but could have done better..like mdm toh said need more practice on mode mean and median okay i shall talk about lighter stuff lest i am starting to sound like a math lover..(well i'm starting to like the subject...)and if i ever find myself in such an unimaginable situation i'll have to thank God for providing me with a great tution teacher and of course..my parent's prayers since p4..the year math failed me and i failed math. i reealy wanna get a un underlined( they just underline now..they don't use red ink) grade fer math and of course..As i never got them since term 4 of sec2..today's rnd presentations were interesting..haha "sadistics"..well our group are soo relieved we never got choosen..we are all waiting to prepare all the wood and matchsticks to burn of the rnd related things..and yeah received some very assuring piece of news today in the papers..firstly Israel and Lebanon have had a ceasefire..i really hope it'll last just look at all the children..really hope World Vision/ unicef or UN could do something fer them..secondly.i've found out my dreams of going to Europe aren't actually crushed. eastern europe..somewhere with a kick..i certainly won't refuse London..but Czech has some old world charm with they can't beat..aand it's only abou 5o bucks per day..of course..can't reaaly take the journalit's word fer it..he was travelling alone and probably was more convinient fer him to travel inexpensively.but i do hope to be going there before they convert to the sky0high currencies of Euro dollars..
more stuff in the newspapers that amused me today are namely from the sports section..i've always kind of laughed at how some English footballers actually live only twenty odd years or less of their lives and suddenly spring up with an autobiography?! i guess "autobiography" is a misused word..i didn't think 3/4 of the book would be about their childhood..etc..its' more like a diary where they write all their musings..they should have a template title fer their books..like "why england screwed up world cup: my side of the story" or something like that..haha they lead rather illustrious lives but i certainly wouldn't want to be seen reading a book like that as far as i know..perhaps if i really need a good laugh or shocker..

at last..the parade is over! what a huge "burden", so to speak of my chest.. our school version of the ndp was yesterday assembled in very dark sky of 640..(but it wasnt very early..cause i reach school around that time daily..) in my gb uniform..haha the non ug people were also marching..i mean "half marching"..if theres actually such a thing..as usual ms lim talked for quite a bit..wow i just needed to move my legs that time man..and the guest of honour MP for west coast GRC was inspectining and talked to yen yee..who was right next to me!! asked her about how many years she in gb.and he was like wow six years? haha i was sooo relieved like everyone else during the march past!! the bb boys were like cheering when we reached the car park!!then we went to the half net ball court for performance..mr ezal played the guitar and ms toh sang where i belong and fly away!! we were like so enamoured! wow..these teachers sure can do more than teaching! after that did up the gb noticeboard with jenisse delci and pauline..went home and met jenisse at jurong east julien actually called jenisse at 1.25 that they'll be catching the 1.30 show! gosh we were like rushing to get the tix fer click..and the people in front of us were soo slow..luckily we caught it but we missed a few minutes of it...guess how many people came? hold your breath..julien, rayna, christabel, charrisa, ruth ,jen and i sinlih, kenny, edmund,deric,hann ken,amar,hissyam, isharyd vincent and kennedy..i'm not sure if i left out anyone..i kind of lost count...we like occupied 3/4 of the theatre! numbers aside..click was reaaly fantastic..when i saw the poster i thought it was some rom com but i was in fer a pleasant surprise..i shan't repeat the story because a. i'm quite a lousy narrator b. the story's too eventful. c. i shan't be a killjoy and spoil the fun..catch it yourself! as usual there was alot of adam sandler humor..(quite sick kind of humor) but very funny..also very sad, apparently jenisse cried..well i tried to..but my teaar ducts are always so dry.after that went to chervrons to play some arcade games..the walk there was like as though we were walking along the Alphs..okay thats too exaggerating..but the pathway was rather uneven..but i survived unscathed anyway rayna and i left at about 430 after we were finished with the arcade..went to gran's house and well well guess who appeared in the dead of the night ringing the shrill doorbell? the little ghastly ghost with long hair shouting that chilly tag line of hers.."it's meeee.." it was little renee from across the road!..after letting her in..she says as usual..where's marcus?( my very child-friendly p6 cousin) and so we decided to play a little trick on this fiesty lil' girl..marcus isn't in..he'll be back at 11..still fiesty she said its okay..i'll draw and climbed up the flight of steps.then her super pretty/handsome 1 year old bro came! he's soo playful!! oh before i ferget..today's Singapore's big birthday..well kaira gong a bit of a surprising choice.and the video is a little funny..i mean her clothes in the video.what was the stylist thinking really..it wasnt really a faux pas but the stylists should have had more brains!! a white midriff bearing tube..a shimmery tube that looked like it was bought of the rack of..i dunno? and some v hemed shirt with a demin skirt..err..okay i hope today she'll look like she's reaaly going to Singapore's biggest birthday bash and wear something that exudes more..class.

just came back from lucn at swensens at holland..with julia shusze and jocelyn was supposed to go out with pauline jopal marilene and jen but they all wanted to go to jurong point..!!! anyway i had to duplicate the gb noticeboard key..mummy say holland cheaper.but not true. i still went to mister minute 8 bucks fer 2 keys..well the founder's day service was as usual rathe boring but i didnt fall asleep..and i thought we were rather well behaved...oh well yesterday was a very eventful one fer me sec 3 inter class finals..we won band e. we were damn happy! should have seen the look on Miss Mano's face during the founder's day rehersal..she was shocked! amy was best speaker and jem was like kind of "sad" cause amy, hann ken and i all got best speakers except him..well at night was the big night fer me.emceed with robert for the founder's day graduation service. okay i had to wear a blazer and the cca block toilet was dark and stuffy so i was like sweating when i changed..and i couldnt really get used to the heels..just how do people where them to work everydaay? surprisingnly i wasnt as nervous as i was during the rehersal on tues..i was quite a fun experience if yu ask me..and dont mind doing it again..if yu minus the heels..

just came back from take the city walk.with gb.went there at 630..luckily papa can send man..it was rather hot there..quite boring all the excercises until the 4.5km walk started ..we were supposed to pray fer our nation well i did..a short prayer..i was listening to the mp3 and talking to annette most of the time ..quite fun lah and the end of it each one of us were given ndp vouchers! as usual, the deals arent reaaly fantastic but they have a bod.bodynits voucher worth ten bucks! but of cos there was a clause at the bottom in very small print..that the voucher is only usable when 5o bucks is spent..well well..there the was another interesting one..rings and braclets for 3 and 1 bucks from taka jewellery! anyway.after that jocelyn, joy yeo ,jenisse, baoxian,delci and marilene to bk at citylink had a great time laughing at different people this week we had inter class debates..we won all basically because the other side sucked. anyway we're in the finals with band e and the motion is something about gays and miss mano hasn't told me if we're prop or opp.

well..now that the World Cup is over..i'm starting to feel some withdrawal symptoms...i cringe at the thought that i have to wait fer another 4 years channel 27 comes up again..okay so i've caught the football bug..much to the delight of my football crazy father..so i'll be waiting for err..epl to start..19th aug i think...oh..how i miss those days where we all flipped to channel 27 as we excitidly watch the game..with our hearts ponding..football aside..yesterday we had our very 1st GB exco meeting and your truly had the honour of taking the minutes of the meeting..it stretched till 6 and thats why i didn't go to debate.. well we had a math test today..so hard but i reaaly wanna pass.i'mfeeling horrible! we hae 5 chinese newspaper reviews to do!!! however,there are some things i can look forward to..say the intra class debates on tues! i'll be debating with band c with amy, jem and han kenn the topics quite mind boggling..but it will be fun!! it's reeally been a while since i did a formal debate and i can't wait to start!

oh well..now it's down to four teams.. France, Italy, Portugal and Germany.. this World Cup was a little dissapointing fer me..with most teams i supported not being in the last 4...let's see in the round of 32 Japan and South Korea were knocked out.quite sad but not very surprising because they aren't really fantastic this year, compared to the 2002 one where they played on their homeground..okay. at the rate Germany is going.. I reaaly think people who play on their homeground reaaly do better..look at South Korea, they were last 4 Japan was last 16 and France was the winner of the '98 one! anyway..the teams i supported..say..Spain got knocked out by France..I guess in the last 16 experience really counts and many Spainish players like Fernando Torres Jose Antonio Reyes, xabi Alonso are all making their World cup debut..the other match that dissapointed me was the Holland and Portugal one..i expected Holland to be like a quarter finalist at least..i mean they have a lot of stars..like Rudd Van Nistelrooy, Robin Van Persie..Arjen Robben..and I don't like Portugal! Cristano Ronaldo really irritates me!! I'm sure many players who played against Portugal are all lining up to hammer him! the other match that dissapointed was the first quarter final match argentina and germany...man Argentina and Holland were the countries i hoped to see in the last 4..this time it was really the Argentinian coach's fault..even someone like me who knows nothing about football tactics know that taking out midfielder Juan Riquelme and stirker Crespo was like thing that made Argentina lose..I was quite surprised Lionel Messi and Saviola did not play at all..well i guess we all make mistakes..and this mistake cost Argentina a place in the semis..which i think is really wasted becuase they are a very strong team i mean scoring 6-0 in a game shows that they are really good. Other teams like Brazil or Germany thrased teams with 4 or 3 goals only..or maybe Serbia was reaally bad...to add more pain to my sorrows england also lost a spot in the semis to Portugal..they were at an advantage at first..because Portugal's Deco was suspended..the game was really boring like a lullaby which makes you sleep until Rooney got red carded.he is sure known for his fiery temper but I guess he accdientally stepped on the Portugese player..?i guess t was his shove that gave him a red card? but i don't think we should put all the blame on him..I mean Ronaldo is soo provoking almost any player except very calm ones would have like pushed him or shouted at him..I'm sure he mentioned a red card which provoked Rooney..but despite Rooney being sent off I still think England fought well considering they only had ten men..but i guess lady luck that brought them to the quarters wasn't on their side..poor Frank Lampard tried to score twice and I guess penalties, for some weird reason are their undoing..they must be feeling reaally sore now..the biggest surprise was the brazil and france one..well i was a little surprised but not shocked..france is good and Brazil won all the matches so far becuase they haven't played against top teams i guess.. and this year they dont seem as good..anyway it's time they handed their World Champions title to someone else.. 5 times was more than enough..and i would be boring if they won fer the 6 time. so i'll just have to wait for another four years for teams like Holland, Argentina, Spain and England to shine in South Africa.

hi..wow school has started so soon and i've got some new teachers. for physics we have a mr tan replacing miss teo and for pe we have ms lee. went to woodlands regional library with mrs quah to watch the north zone competition for pesa.. i went for the south zone one yesterday. she was reaaly nice she sent me back like yesterday after the competition and the day before. I'm like rather shocked at yesterdays competition i got into the semis! which is next wednesday. i guess the impromtu saved me..it was about abortion. But the contestants were really nice and i met jedd ong my junior in primary school! he's in sji now.. as usual still speaking as well as before. the constestants all talked like we were classmates or something fun people ;) oh yeah.. went to queensway fer lunch with julia..my my queensway looked like an addidas promoter! there were like 2 big " impossible is nothing" billboards outside and had like a picture of the players who starred in the ad and they had a list to name who's who in the picture. and inside queensway were giant posters of kaka, ballack and nakumara. Speaking of that whimsical " impossible is nothing" ad.. i reeally like it, especially the cute south american(i suppose so) street urchin Jose, who somewhat reminds me of my cousin marcus! the coolest part is that they had players from the past in the ad like Beckenbauer and another French player..apparently they used some technology which enables viewers to see the Beckenbauer of years ago in a present day ad! my my Jose and his equally charming buddy sure have a very very vivid imagination. indeed impossible is nothing.

i've caught the world cup fever bug this year! i was very surprised when i showed my interest in world cup..i definately can't play soccer to save my life..but its kind of nice to watch football..but of course i can never reach the stage of my father who has been soccer crazy since young and even broke a window pane and riskedscreams from my grandmother.haha this year i'll be rooting for south korea and japan..don't you think the players have better looks than some of their western counterparts? for example hidetoshi nakata!! but looks aside..i'll be rooting for them because they the best asian soccer teams and because im asian so its almost natural for me to root for them..?hope they'll do us asians proud..like south korea in the 2002 world cup!! other than world cup,i went to changi village yesterday evening with my family and jan jan..quite nice.!i like the changi village hotel!..i never heard of it because it changed it's name apparently..but i went in there because i needed the toilet really badly..quite upmarket..but i'm rather baffled by the location..smacked in the middle of a heartland? Anyway came back yesterday at nine plus found out that papa wanted to watch the japan vs aust match..so we painstackingly gave up our nine o clock show at channel 55 for this..thank God for repeats at one and four o clock throughout the day..watched the match with him..it was rather interedting as well as boring..both sides all missed the goals by a bit..until japan's nakumara scored..thought japan was going to win! i can't believe australia won!!i mean japan's 18 and they are 44?any they are rather ameteur it seems..hope japan wil do better..but i dont think they survive this group matches//hello their last match is against brazil..unless they win other games..which is tough.South korea is playing against togo tonight uncle anthony and justus are coming over later it seems..haha go asia go!!

last sunday was rolch's 10th anniversary!cant believe it..10 reeally good years! God's gracehas certainly seen us through.didnt attend the service..helped out in the children's programe..seems like the sermon was reaaly good.the lunch after that was quite nice..on monday we had math remidial..haha came in late supposed to start at eight but came at eight thirty..so tired..the day before send ceaphas off to tokyo.met sheryl lim there..she was going to the china trip..man im so envious of cephas..tokyo!!ah imagine myself happily touching down at narita...bought sports shoes and a green shirt at queensway..jenisse bought a pink one on monday! tues went to school for lit..wednesday met mrs quah for pesa and at 5 plus we met ko2 johnson at ang mo kio to buy another cam!we actually wanted to buy the cannon printer as well but after much thought..we didint we bought a cannon powershot camera..quite nice even though i still prefer the lumix one..i have some emotional attachment to it

hi..finally after six months i finally succumbed to he conviction that I needed to do something about my blog.things have been nice so far..i like my class;)except my results i didnt get any As in term 1 and 2..but i improved in term 2..had 4 b3s, 2 b4s and 1 e8..but my sa1 got pulled down cause of my term 1:(..but my class position imrpoved to..from 25th to 13th.anyway..the major events of this six months were..obs local at ubin.my group was cousteau..you know jaques cousteau ..the guy who created the SCUBA unit?quite fun..but couldn't get along with a few..was elated to be home..but it was certainly a golden opportunity..i definately will not go back there again,however i dont regret going for that.besides,i very much like the part that you can use your ob cert in your cv when you go job hunting!anyway..time passes really qucikly..today's the last day of school and tomorows meet the parents!before i even know it,i probably be sitting for my 'O's!

hi okay so i havent been blogging for quite some time since the hols...watched perhaps love which was good and narnia..with the church youth!school was okay..thank GOd for good teachers i mean if you think ok it..its really easy to get"bad" teachers..so GOd has really blessed me in this area i was pretty class sick at first..like i really wanted 2a badly..but i know i must move on..i know another class awaits me;)!tomorow is the DAY for rolc..uncle stan is getting married!!!!so we chipped in on sun as a bible study grp and ju and i went to ikea yesterday and bought containers two sets of cutlery and four towels..so we sealed it up in a BIG box like the moving house kind and bought a card as well.today is sec1 talenttime cum cca selection so set up debate booth today left at 510 after advertising for dos..man i can't wait for tomorow!!!
