Okay..after struggling with days of laziness, I decided to brush them all aside and blog about my trip to chiang mai..well there won't be photos because a.i didn't bring my cam and b.robin hasn't complied the photos for us..Well if I could some up the entire trip into one word..the word has to be LOVELY. Seriously, this trip taught me that Father knows best. Looking back, I initially signed up fer Kanchanarburi with Hannah since I didn't see the point in going to Chiang mai again..but I found out she went to local..and I wasn't really familiar with the people going to kanchanaburi so i switched to chiang mai since i heard quite a few pple i know were going..And well I had FUN,FUN,FUN..the first day we took a transit flight from Bangkok our flight got delayed by 1 hour so we walked around for another hour..thank God the Bangkok airport was big enough to entertain us for another hour! Finally reached the orphanage at four plus..got a pleasant surprise when i reached there..we all stayed in a bunglow with about 5 to 6 rooms me, deborah, christie, shusze, sha, emay, jaq and yishan took the biggest room and the only room with aircon! We had a bathtub that had a err..dead bat?! At night was night service with the orphanage and interacted with the kids.Second and third day was community service a few of us did handicraft and mulberry paper..where farah and i saw a cute guy called zai but we found out he was taken:( Met a girl nicknamed fah which means blue or sky in thai..apparently, she likes blue..and met some other girls cherry pink(she always wears pink!) jasmine and ya! Went for river rafting and elephant riding on the fourth day..rafting was fun but very wet! Bought photos!Went to Central Plaza and bought two shirts for 20ob had an interesting dinner at some cultural centre before heading for a night market to shop, shop and shop! Saturday did some communiy work interacted with the kids and went to mall for dinner where 11 of us ate at the pizza company..It was $40 for 11 people! Got he "anna sui" clutch deborah and I were eyeing the day before and went to another not so interesting night market were i literally grabbed(due to time constraints) 5 cute woven hairbands for 100 b. Sunday we left the place at seven the kids lined up and gave us a flower each! Daryl had many girlfriends-He had ten flowers! Checked in and boarded a tigerairways and touched down at 1250 where mummy and gracie was waiting.I've learnt/gained many things from the trip..one of them being the friends i've made! Made new friends like farah, sha, emay,jaq,gordon,malcom, jiarong and his buddies and bonded with people whom i already knew!
